The Walter E. Stark Assembly Area & Horse Campground offers equestrian enthusiasts access to 27 miles of scenic horseback riding trails within Pillsbury State Forest. These trails wind through diverse landscapes, including forests and lakes, providing a picturesque riding experience. The campground is equipped with 75 primitive campsites, each featuring a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water from hand pumps, permanent picket lines for securing horses, and manure bunkers for waste disposal.
