Founded in 2016, Stella Farms LLC in Jenkins, Minnesota, by MN born and raised farmers Lisa and Ryan, it started with a curious drive past an alpaca farm in the area and quickly blossomed into a passion for these unique, fascinating animals. With guidance from experienced mentors, the farm focuses on alpaca fiber, breeding, and becoming a resource for others embarking on similar journeys. The farm’s mission is simple but meaningful: to showcase the benefits of alpaca fiber products and help people feel cozy, not itchy.

At Stella Farms, alpacas aren't just a livelihood—they are an integral part of a mission to promote high-quality fiber throughout the U.S. market, with a priority for sustainable agriculture and retail practices to meet customers' needs. Their dedication to ensure and preserve the value of alpaca wool is evident in every step of the process and product they offer to customers, from soft yarn and fleece to knitted goods. Their store includes quality produce such as hats, mittens, socks, gloves, etc. 

But the farm isn’t just about alpacas. Ryan and Lisa have also nurtured a growing passion for foundation quarter horses, owning and managing a full stable today. Ryan was raised around horses, making them an important aspect of his life. What started as a personal interest in riding is currently a small breeding operation focused on preserving the best traits of these horses. Together with Buckshot the wonder dog and a handful of playful farm cats, there’s never a dull moment at Stella Farms. Every member of the family is ready to welcome you!
